PVB is a laminated film, which is a polymer material formed by plasticizing and extruding polyvinyl butyral resin with plasticizer 3GO (triethylene glycol diethylhexanoate). It has good adhesion to inorganic glass and has the characteristics of transparency, heat resistance, cold resistance, moisture resistance, and high mechanical strength. PVB film is mainly used for laminated glass. It is a PVB film with polyvinyl butyral as the main component between two pieces of glass. PVB laminated glass is widely used in construction, automobile and other industries due to its safety, heat preservation, noise control and UV isolation.
Five characteristics of PVB laminated film:
1. Safety: When receiving external impact, the elastic middle layer can absorb the impact and prevent the impact from penetrating. Even if the glass is broken, only fine cracks similar to spider webs will be produced. The fragments are firmly adhered to the middle layer and will not fall off and scatter to hurt people. It can continue to be used until replaced.
2. Anti-theft: PVB laminated glass is very tough. Even if the thief breaks the glass, the middle layer is firmly attached to the glass and remains intact, making it impossible for the thief to enter the room. After installing laminated glass, the guardrail can be omitted, which is not only economical, but also beautiful and can get rid of the feeling of being in a cage.
3. Sound insulation: Since PVB film has the function of damping sound waves, PVB laminated glass can effectively suppress the spread of noise, especially in buildings located in airports, stations, downtown areas and on both sides of the road. After installing laminated glass, the sound insulation effect is very obvious.
4. Anti-ultraviolet performance: PVB film can absorb more than 99% of ultraviolet rays, thereby protecting indoor furniture, plastic products, textiles, carpets, artworks, ancient cultural relics or commodities from fading and aging caused by ultraviolet radiation.
5. Energy saving: Architectural laminated glass made of PVB film can effectively reduce the penetration of sunlight. With the same thickness, laminated glass made of dark and low-transmittance PVB film has a stronger ability to block heat. At present, domestically produced laminated glass has a variety of colors.
